TrikeFest Events & Classes 2026 Events are listed in the order they are planned, but the order and time may change based on weather or other factors Quick reminder of important rules. For a full list, see the FAQ section on the TrikeFest website, and Haspin Acres Website. · Helmets must be worn anytime a machine is moving · No riding, wheelies, donuts, or making dust in the campground area. This includes the road to access the overflow camping past the MX track. Idle speed transportation only. · No riding past 10pm, unless permission is given directly by Haspin officials for event reasons. · No riding into town WITHOUT a town pass. This is enforced by police, your machine will get impounded and you will get a ticket. You must stay on the designated route. · No riding in the river on the way into town. This is strictly DNR enforced, machine will be impounded and you will get a ticket. This includes land/woods/riverbank past the designated parking area for river access Wednesday Filbey Dinner 6-8pm Come get some delicious, corned beef and cabbage, a free “donation” dinner in remembrance of our late friend Chris Filbey. Location TBD but in campground area. Early Bird Events 8pm A series of small, unofficial events that will take place somewhere in the campground on Wednesday evening, usually including a slow wheelie race, blindfolded obstacle path, backwards obstacle race, and whatever silly games people want to play. Thursday Circle Track 10am Racing on the hard dirt circle track (unless it rains, then its slippery), corners are flat on the inside, slightly banked in 1&2, moderate banking in 3&4. Heats will race to determine starting order of mains. Must have full face helmet and boots, other safety equipment highly encouraged! Online sign up is requested, in person sign up will close the day before. Please be on time and patient, this event will take some time Mini Class: open class for atc70/zingers. Engine swaps and suspension allowed. Very competitive Non Suspended: no front or rear suspension, atc70/90/110/125 chassis. Engine swaps allowed. Semi Suspended: front suspension, no rear suspension (atc 185/200, yt125/175, ytm200, klt110/160) 200x: open 200x class, only acceptable engine swaps are XR200 or CRF230. 250ES/SX class: any shaft driven trike 350x: open 350x class, must have factory bottom end Air Cooled 250: open 250 2 stroke class for air cooled only, factory bottom end Liquid Cooled 250: open liquid cooled 250 2 stroke, factory bottom end Open Class: big engines, conversions, anything goes. If trike is registered in this class, it CANNOT compete in any other classes. Youth: 12yo and younger, any machine. May create two classes based on attendance. Hardtail Ride 12pm This is a non competitive event, no sign up, just show up and ride. Meet at the end of the drag strip on Thursday, we leave at Noon sharp! An ironman type ride through the toughest trails on the perimeter of the park. Usually 2-3hrs long, so bring beverages as we stop to socialize along the way. Its also tradition to bring a snack to share, though we only allow crackers, cheese, and meat from a can for our lunch social! Expect a LOT of comradery and laughs, some colorful characters, and sore backs! Only one rule: NO REAR SUSPENSION!! Mud Bounty Hole 2pm Exactly like it sounds! Who can make it furthest, or fastest through the mud hole. Must keep at least one leg on the trike at all times and no pushing off the walls. Only allowed to reverse once. Real time weather and attendance will determine time limits. Please no riding in the mud pit before the event. Located inside the circle track, three classes. Online signup available. In person show up and get in line to run. Stock: stock engine and axles, 2” lift and tires allowed, no frame or swingarm stretches Modified: anything goes as long as it’s got three wheels Youth: 12yo and younger, any trike allowed Utility Course 5pm A one way race in a straight line over rocks, logs, tires, and a shallow mud hole. Bracket elimination. Online sign up requested, in person sign up until the day of. All one class. Herk & Jerk 8pm Easily the rowdiest of all events, Herk & Jerk is a tug of war between 2 trikes. This is a bracket elimination event, each round pulled in a best 2 out of 3 and sudden elimination. Trikes are hooked up from their rear axle or hitch, not grab bars to eliminate flip overs. There are 3 classes to fit into, and rules are pretty loose. Any discussion on which class you fit into will be group decided at the event. Online sign up requested, in person sign up until the day of, and grudge pulls afterwards for bragging rights. Horizontal- the smallest frame class. All machines that originally came with a horizontal engine (atc70-125) or sub 150cc vertical engines (ALT125, KLT110, etc…) fully modified builds are welcome as long as they are small chassis. 200cc and under- vertical engine trikes that were originally under 200cc.(all honda hardtails, klt200, ytm200, etc) modified trikes welcome, along with cvt powered machines (rustler, tri cars, etc) that have original or similar sized engines. Big boy class- anything goes. From a stock 225dx to a big bore Big Red on tractor tires and nitrous. Only rule is it has to have started as a 3 wheeler (no trucks, tractors, or argos with 3 wheels removed) Friday Drag Races 10am Dirt drags. Might be dry, loomy, and dusty, might be slick and muddy, whatever the weather decides. Sudden elimination bracket racing with light and sensor scoring. Must have full face helmet and boots, other safety equipment highly encouraged! Online sign ups are highly requested, in person sign ups close the day before. Please be on time and patient, this event will take some time Mini Class: open class for all horizontal engine chassis, engine swaps allowed Mid Sized: hardtail chassis (atc185/200, YT 125/175, ytm200, KLT110/160) 200x: open 200x class, must have 200x engine 250ES/SX: any shaft driven trike including Yamaha 225, klt250 350x: 350x class, must have 350x engine Air Cooled 250: open 250 2 stroke class for air cooled only Liquid Cooled 250 stock: liquid cooled 250 2 stroke, must have stock carb and airbox, no holes in airbox lid, aftermarket pipes allowed but must be in frame (no drag pipes), stock engine, cylinder, and head. Factory frame only, gussets allowed. No swingarm longer than +4. No studs in tires, wheelie bars. Must run pump gas. Liquid Cooled 250 modified: must have original bottom end of engine to model, no engine swaps. No hybrids/conversions, no nitrous or alcohol fuel. Long swingarms, wheelie bars, big bores, carbs, exhaust, frame mods all allowed. Big Bore: hybrids/modern conversions, 480/500 swaps. No alcohol or nitrous, no wheelie bars, no drag pipes, no tire studs, no drag specific frames. Open Class: big engines, conversions, tire studs, nitrous, turbos, any fuel, anything goes as long as its got 3 wheels. Youth: 12yo and younger, any machine, may split into two classes based on turnout Ditch Run 5pm This is a 21+ event, trikes only, both strictly enforced. Meet at the big red barn, police will escort the group down to Main St in town for an hour long social at the Long Branch Tavern. Beverages and a light dinner will be available for purchase in town. No town pass is needed for this event, but must arrive and leave on time. The local police and towns folk are nice enough to allow us to do this, be respectful. No racing, no wheelies, no burnouts. The Band “Glamerica” 8pm A live band performing all your favorite 1980’s music from rock to pop and everything in between. Saturday Laurel Donation Breakfast 9am-sold out Laural first responders are hosting a free “donation” breakfast at the firehall in town. All money goes to the Laurel youth playground and sports funds. Through events like this in the past, TrikeFest has donated to help build a new playground in town. Note: a town pass IS required to ride down to this event, no exceptions. Town Parade 12pm This is an all ages, everyone encouraged to attend event. Trikes only! No town pass needed. Meet at the big red barn, get a police escort down the hill and parade around town to show the people of Laurel that you appreciate them welcoming us crazy three wheeler riders into their community! We will stop on the bridge before town for a drone photo, and will likely make the local news in a good way! Awards Ceramony 2pm A final conclusion to this years TrikeFest. Trophies from all events will be handed out, prizes given away from various sponsors, awards handed to those deserving. TF Raffle trike winner will be announced, and some kid is going to win a new-to-them trike too! Special Trophys First to Arrive- first person to show up to camp for TrikeFest. Must camp onsite the whole time (Sorry Locals) Best Helmet- group voted best custom helmet at the award ceremony Longest Distance Traveled- whoever travelled the furthest distance to be at TrikeFest Conqueror of the Backbone- first person to make it all the way up the Devils Backbone on a three wheeler without assistance from anyone else, and cannot push their way up. Must have video proof, not valid until Thursday at noon to give more people a chance to try. Best OEM Trike- group voted best OEM trike at the award ceremony Best Custom Trike- group voted best custom trike at the award ceremony 20yr award- presented to anyone who has attended 20 years of trikefest
